TIPS TO HELP YOU PREVENT DEVESTATING YOUR FAMILY AND GOING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN DEPT WITH VET BILLS OR JUST OUTRIGHT SCAMMED
When considering purchasing a yorkie:

#1.  Make sure you get at least a 1 YEAR HEALTH WARRANTY THAT OFFERS YOUR MONEY BACK IF GOD FORBID ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOUR LITTLE ONE, NOT JUST A REPLACEMENT PUPPY ~!!  Think about it, why would you want another puppy from this breeder if the first one dies.

#2.  Get references and don't just get them, check them.  Noone can vouch for the health of the yorkies and the breeders support and knowledge like a family that owns one of his/her babies.

#3.  Ask breeder if he/she will be able to puppy sit for your yorkie if you need to go on vacation or have a family emergency.  Yorkies are so small alot of times they don't do so well in a kennel facility.

#4.  Ask breeder if their line of yorkies has any hereditary disorders ex.  Luxating patellas (dislocated kneecaps) very painful for little one and cost 1500 per knee to fix, liver shunt, hypoglycemia, etc...Do your homework read up on what to look for when viewing a litter of yorkies ex. excessive runny eyes is a sign of allergies, watch pup walk and run, he/she should not stumble or fall or this is a sign of dislocated kneecaps.

#5.  Meet mom and dad of pups, this will give you a great idea of temperment and what your pup will look like and the size the pup will be. 
You can go by a yorkie growth chart to figure out what size the yorkie will be at full maturity.

#6. DO NOT EVER SEND MONEY ORDERS, PAY THROUGH PAYPAL OR ANY OTHER FORM OF PAYMENT.  MEET THE BREEDER, SEE WHERE THE PUPPY HAS GROWN UP AND HOW IT HAS BEEN TREATED.

#7.  Make sure you get yorkie puppy vaccination chart which should also list what the puppy was dewormed with and when.  You also will want to know if the puppy has undergone any other procedures of any kind.

#8.  Get all agreements on paper, dated and signed.

You can find more information that may help you throughout this site, it is under construction but I will add as much information as I can to try to help you avoid purchasing what you think is a healthy pup and end up buried in thousands of dollars of vet bills, with a sick puppy or even a dead pup and a devestated family.  Be patient, you will fall in love with all pups, make sure your will be healthy !!!!! Protect yourself.  I hear the saddest stories every day of poor people that didn't know better and have been scammed or broken hearted.
